Terms and Conditions for Radio Frequency Communications Ltd

This site www.rf-c.com is operated by Radio Frequency Communications Ltd. These terms apply to all transactions with our company whether placing your order directly on this site, by phone, email or post. By using this site and the services provided, you hereby agree to accept the following terms of use:

1 Definitions

In this document, these words have the following meaning:

We and us refers to Radio Frequency Communications Ltd (known as RF Communications), incorporated in England & Wales registration number 4730796, which has its registered office at Old Forge House, Cricket Green, Hartley Witney, Hants, RG27 8PZ. VAT registration number 815 8301 39.

You refers to you, the customer.

Services, any services we supply with respect to TV and Satellite reception.

Agreement refers to these Terms & Conditions and the content of any corresponding order.

2 Booking an Appointment

(i) Free visits are only applicable to quotations for a new installation, and or extension to an existing installation, and are for the purpose of confirming the works required and consequent costs.

(ii) All prices discussed via the phone prior to the engineer visit should be considered an estimate only, and a firm quotation will be given at the time of the engineer visit, and prior to commencement of any works.

(iii) All prices quoted for installation and or service will be quoted inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.

(iv) We will arrange a site visit at a date and time convenient with you. The engineer will require access to both the inside & outside of the property, and you agree at your own expense to be available to provide relevant access

(v) You agree that in advance any necessary permissions such as and not limited to Landlords consent are in place for the appointment and for the work to take place.

(vi) In some instances it may not be possible to complete the installation on the first visit, and additional materials or parts may need to be ordered in order to complete the works required. In these cases a second visit may be required.

(vii) If you, the customer are not at home on the agreed date, we reserve the right to charge you an additional fee for the subsequent visit, currently £78.00

3 Goods & Services

(i) By signing the invoice provided you agree all works undertaken are to your satisfaction, and agree to pay the said invoice in full on completion of the works.

(ii) Any subsequent changes requested by you after work has been completed and you have signed the invoice, which are due to you the customer will be charged at standard rates and not subject to any discounts.

(iii) All goods supplied remain the property of RF Communications until paid in full by the customer.

(iv) All invoices are to be settles on completion of works. At its sole discretion, and only if agreed prior to the engineer visit, we reserve the right to invoice the customer for any works carried out, for all invoices that cannot be settled on completion of work. All such invoices must be settled within 30 days from the date of invoice.

(v) We reserve the right to decline any work deemed to be unsafe.

4 Warranty / Guarantee

RF Communications will guarantee the following against faulty materials or workmanship.

(i) Satellite equipment received and installed, twelve months from the date of installation

(ii) TV & FM equipment received and installed, twelve months from the date of installation.

(iii) In some instances the customer can purchase an extended warranty up to a maximum of 36 months from RF Communications, separate from any manufacturer’s warranty

(iv) In some instance the warranty maybe with a third party and not directly with us, in this instance we will inform you of any warranty processes and procedures.

This warranty / guarantee does not cover:

(v) Movement or damage caused by winds in excess of 60mph

(vi) Any repair or alteration carried out by the customer or third party, that are not directly employed by RF Communications

(vii) Retuning of any receiving equipment, as a direct result of changes or alterations to channel frequencies.

(viii) Reception conditions which are outside of the company’s control, such as but not limited to, maintenance of local transmitter, electrical appliances, local radio hams, or any other transmitting frequency.

(ix) Works carried out for the customer at their request, which are against the company’s recommendations and detailed on the customer invoice.

(x) This does not affect your statutory rights.

5 General

(i) Changes to terms & conditions. We may from time to time change these terms and conditions if new rules or laws make it necessary. If we do this we will update the terms & conditions available on this site.

(ii) It is the customer responsibility to ensure all suitable and relevant permissions are in place prior to agreeing with the commencement of any installation work. RF Communications will not be held liable for any making good to the structure of the building if the customer has changed their mind about the location of the equipment once the works have commenced.

(iii) Intellectual Property Rights. All content on this web site including but not limited to, text, software, Logo, graphics remain the property of RF Communications and shall not be copied in part or whole, without our prior consent.

(iv) Privacy policy. Please see our Privacy policy for details on how we use any personal information which we may collect.

(v) Complaints. In the unlikely event of a complaint made against RF Communications or its employees, the customer must put their complaint in writing addressed to our head office: RF Communications, C4 Grovelands Avenue, Winnersh, Wokingham, RG41 5LB, or by email to aerials@rf-c.com Upon receipt of the complaint we will endeavour to resolve and respond to the matter within seven working days.

6 Right to Cancel.

(i) You have the right to cancel your order within seven days after the contract has been signed. This must be done in writing, either by email to aerials@rf-c.com or by post to our main office, RF Communications, Unit 4 Grovelands Avenue, Winnersh, Wokingham, RG41 5LB. Should you send your cancellation by post it is recommended you retain proof of postage.

(ii) If you cancel your order after the goods have been delivered/installed the customer will be liable for the full cost of collection, and de-installation, currently charged at our standard rate of £78.00. As we may offer subsidies or special offers on hardware & installation the collection charges may be more than you paid for initial delivery & installation. These charges will be deducted from any refunds due.

(iii) Where you cancel your order and refunds are due, these will be processed on full receipt of the goods at our office, and once testing and inspection is complete. Any goods deemed to be damaged or faulty will result in deductions equivalent to reduction in value of the good supplied.
